How to Train Your Dragon 2 is the sequel to the much loved original that came out in 2010. The movie takes place five years after the events of the first film. Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) and his dragon Toothless, just like the others in the village, have developed a special bond during those tranquil years. The peaceful times are threatened when Hiccup and Astrid (voiced by America Ferrera) discover a plot to capture all the dragons. Our heroes' path in protecting the dragons will cross a mysterious Dragon Rider and menacing Drago (voiced by Djimon Hounsou), which are both connected to Hiccup's dad Stoick (voiced by Gerald Butler). How to Train Your Dragon 2 is an amazing film and even better than the first. The animation is breathtaking and the movie has a good mixture of humor and action to it. The movie's theme of protecting the ones you love against terrifying menace has similarities to The Dark Knight (but not as dark). I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone. If you do get an opportunity to see it in 3D, please do. It is well worth it.
