Review-Bill & Ted Face the Music

Imagine that you were told as teenagers that your band will write a song that will unite the world. Then, imagine the pressure that would put on a person to live up to that expectation. That is the central story to Bill & Ted Face the Music, the third film in the Bill & Ted franchise. Bill S. Preston, Esq(Alex Winter) and Ted "Theodore" Logan (Keanu Reeves) are middle-aged men that are married with kids in the movie. The focus on writing that special song has affected their lives and their marriages to Joanna (Jayma Mays) and Elizabeth (Erinn Hayes). As they both work on improving things, they are informed by The Great Leader (Holland Taylor) they have 77 minutes to write that song or the world and time itself will unravel. No pressure! So, it is a race against time for Bill and Ted to write that song(or steal it from their future selves) to save life as we know it. Bill & Ted Face the Music is a great movie that has lots of fun and laughs throughout.  The writers of the script are Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who wrote the first two movies(Bill&Ted Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey). It is because of that continuity between the writers and the main stars that this movie still has the same spirit as the first two. Winter and Reeves are still great as the title characters. Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine are a delight as Bill& Ted's daughters Thea and Billie. Along to help in the film's journey is Kelly(Kristen Schaal), the daughter of Rufus(played the late George Carlin in the first two movies). There are a lot of characters that return from the first two movies,  including Death(William Sadler). The movie is funny, heartfelt and can be enjoyed by the whole family(that can watch a PG-13 movie of course). Remember to stay after the credits.
